A compound community facility “Cent pureII” (opened in 2018) holds events for better interaction between exchange students and citizens. A lot of people join this program every time, and they have cultural exchanges.

Dialogue meeting

It's a language support program for exchange students organized by the council of social welfare. You can talk to the locals, and also enjoy seasonal events like pounding steamed rice (making mochi).

Tea ceremony

For exchange students, we hold Japanese culture experience programs not only for the purpose of learning the language.

Sado (traditional Japanese tea ceremony) is considered as a symbol of Japanese heart. You will learn the beauty of style, and the philosophy of Japanese hospitality "OMOTENASHI".

Classical Japanese dance

Nihonbuyo is the general term of the Japanese traditional dance. You will have better understanding of the root of Japanese culture through the dance loved by folks over the years. You can wear kimono or casual style kimono (yukata) during the lesson.

Pottery

In the pottery class, a local pottery master will teach you how to make potteries step by step so even the beginners can enjoy the beauty of Japanese traditional art.
